Одной из самых приятных тенденций в современной христианской музыке является возрождение признания красоты и глубины христианских гимнов. Возможно, неудивительно, что в мире скучной, повторяющейся музыки «восхваления» и эфемерных хитов «поп-богослужения» старые гимны нашей веры — многие из которых великолепны в музыкальном плане и глубоки по тексту — не только сохранились, но и были заново открыты молодыми поколениями.

В наши дни кажется, что почти каждый современный христианский исполнитель время от времени выпускает альбом своих классических гимнов или синглы, которые переосмысливают старые гимны. Чтобы выделить лучшее из этих релизов, я составил плейлист старых христианских гимнов, недавно записанных современными исполнителями.
